On September 8, 2012, the Summa Health System will be hosting its 11th Sapphire Ball at the John S. Knight Center in Akron. A sapphire is a gemstone known for its transparency and toughness. Remind you of anyone you know?
The 2010 Sapphire Ball
The proceeds for the black-tie ball will support Women’s Health Services at Summa Health System. Our vision is to become the premier center of women’s health in northeast Ohio by providing comprehensive care for the mothers, daughters, sisters and wives in our community. It’s a fun way to raise funds to support women’s health services, programs, education and research. Holly and Steve Wilt are chairing the gala and will bring a lot of fun and enthusiasm to the event.

In summary, there are different colors of sapphire stones, but traditionally we think of blue. I’m not wearing blue at the gala, but I’m still a sapphire! All women are precious and worthy of premier health care. Please, come join a worthy cause.
