That’s right! Summa Health System employees are collecting new and gently used bras for women in need in our community, and flourish readers are invited to give “support” too.
From now until July 27, bring your new and gently used bras to the collection bins at:
- Summa Akron City Hospital Plant Place gift shop, 2nd floor, 525 E. Market St., Akron
- Summa St. Thomas Hospital gift shop, main lobby, 444 Main St., Akron
The bras will be given to Breast Oasis, an Akron-based charity that provides clean, appropriately-fitted bras to local women in need along with breast health education at community events.
Akron General Health System employees are also collecting bras, and we would like to see which organization can collect the most for this charity. Breast Oasis will count and announce the organization that collected the most.
A good, well-fitted bra can be expensive, but has a great impact on a woman’s self-esteem. Help another lady out, and clean out your bra drawer in the process.
